- The Transfiguration of Christ altar painting (1839) by BA Godenhjelm will be on exhibit at Karpeles Manuscript Library and Museum, Tacoma, Washington. The 3-week exhibit will also include a small exhibit of contemporary art by Pirjo Berg and Phil Fagerholm, as well as other paintings and Finnish artifacts of the same era. Admission is free. Opening Day reception is June 6, 1:30-4:00 p.m.

Kvevlax Spelmansgillet Folkmusic Concert 2-4 p.m. includes performance, dancing and sing-along. Admittance is free with Vasa Lodge membership card, without card $3.50/adults and $1.50/kids 6-14. - Scandinavian Midsummer Festival in Astoria, OR at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds. - The Transfiguration of Christ altar painting (1839) by BA Godenhjelm will be on exhibit at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle. Closer to the event date there should be additional information available on the NHM website. The painting returns to its home at Sitka Lutheran Church in Sitka, Alaska following this event.
